2010-11 Spartans 13U Tryouts

Tryouts for the 2010/11 Spartans 13U (girls born in 1998) volleyball team will be held on the following dates…

Tuesday, September 14th – 7pm to 9pm

Thursday, September 16th – 7pm to 9pm

and

Tuesday, September 21st – 7:30pm to 9pm

All tryouts and team practices will be held at Earl Grey Public School, 100 Strathcona Drive (Strathcona is south of Danforth between Pape & Jones – enter Strathcona (a one-way street) from Jones Avenue and park in the WEST parking lot.)  The gym is upstairs on the 2nd floor.

The fee for tryouts is $10 per player per tryout with proceeds going towards the final team fees.

Athletes with their own volleyballs should bring them to tryouts (please label them with your name and take them with you at the end of the night). Also, please wear non-marking INDOOR shoes and bring knee pads if you own them.

LOCATION CHANGE!!!!

Hi Parents and Players

Sorry for the inconvenience, but we had to CHANGE THE LOCATION for the clinics, tryouts and all future practices.

All TEVC Clinics, Tryouts and Practices will now be held at Earl Grey Sr Public School…

(3 blocks S of Danforth, btwn Pape & Jones – Strathcona is a One Way street going West, so you must enter off Jones Ave)

The dates and times of the clinics and tryouts going forward will remain the same (Tue & Thu from 6:45 to 8:30pm).

Please note there WILL NOT be a clinic on Thursday, October 15th due to a trustee meeting at Earl Grey, but we will be extending the clinics to 3 days (Tue Oct 13, Tue Oct 20th & Thu Oct 22nd). The price will stay at $20.

Also, I am extending an offer to all participants that if they show up with a friend (who isn’t registered yet), the price will be $30 (for you and a friend, so $15 each). So if you know someone who is interested in playing, please bring her along (she must also be in either Grade 6 or 7).

TRYOUTS & CLINICS!!!

Well, it’s our first season and things are starting to get a little hectic!

Depending on the turn out we get for the first clinics, we will be taking 16-20 girls to field 2 equally split teams in the 13u division of the the OVA.

The first 13u tournament for the season is scheduled for Dec 12th.  We hope to have at least 1 team entered to participate.

ATTENTION: GRADE 6 & 7 Girls (Born in 1997 & 98)

CLUB VOLLEYBALL CLINICS

The Toronto East Volleyball Club will be holding instructional clinics for GIRLS

in Grade 6 & 7 (born 1997 &1998) interested in playing in the 13u division of the OVA!

Where: Earl Grey Sr PS, 100 Strathcona Avenue, Toronto M4J 1G8 (3 blocks S of Danforth, btwn Pape & Jones – Strathcona is a One Way street going West, so you must enter off Jones Ave)

When: Oct 13th, 20th & 22nd from 6:45pm – 8:30pm

Why: To introduce and expose young female athletes to a fun & supportive organized volleyball environment.

Cost: $20 per player – all 3 days included

Please wear non-marking soled athletic shoes and bring a notebook, a pen or pencil & a bottle of water.
